jeans

I started this blog because I loved jeans and they weren’t loving me anymore. I couldn’t fit into the ones I had and the ones I tried to buy didn’t look right either. They hurt me or ripped or just looked plain awful. I had a half hearted search for some but in the end, this blog has turned into an outlet for my writing, whether it’s to do with fashion or not. The search for the perfect pair of jeans has tailed off a bit; mostly to do with lack of funds but mainly to do with lack of enthusiasm. There’s only so many times you can try and scrape the area above your knees into a pair of jeans to then turn and look in the badly lit, stuffy-hot changing room mirror, decide you look like crap and haul them off again. It’s exhausting and I have a job. So I’ve not really posted about jeans for a while, despite them being mentioned in the title of this blog (oopsies).

One random weekend, a little before Christmas, I was killing time in between present shopping and wandered into H&M. I like H&M, it can be a bit jumble sale sometimes, but hit it at the right moment when no one else has rifled through everything and you can pick up some awesome things. As no one else had rifled through the jeans rack, and it was looking a bit unloved, I had a quick go. And I found some jeans I liked the look of. In my size – shock horror. I tried them on and bought them (bargin at £20 – thank you H&M). And, THEY ARE THE BEST JEANS EVER. They fit, they don’t hurt, they stretch when I do, the colour is just right, they look good dressed up or down. In short, I think I might have found them. Now all I need to do is find the exact same ones in a few different colours.

Where did you find your perfect jeans?

  1. Buying jeans is always difficult. When I moved home recently, I realised I had 32 pairs of jeans!! Most of them are uncomfortable in some way! I popped into DP’s the other day and bought two pairs for £25 and guess what, they fit brilliantly! They probably wont last very long at that price but they look good for now.
