Look, look at these. Look at them. Yum. Kurt Geiger boots with a sparkly sole and heel. Just enough sparkle to be interesting but not so much that you look like you wore them to drop a child off at nursery and stepped in a glitter explosion. The best things about them? They were an absolute bargainous £8.95, including delivery. I hate the term amazeballs but if there was ever a time to say it, it would be now. Thank you gift cards-and -free-delivery-in-the-same-transaction.
There is one slight issue, I cannot walk in the bloomin’ things. Cue lots of washing up in them and tottering round with piles of clothes whilst at home. I love heels and I seem to have a cupboard full of them, but they don’t often end up on my feet. I like to be able to walk unhindered, zoom around annoying people in my way and get things done in the quickest time possible so I can go home and lie down. Heels demand attention. You have to look where you are walking and take mimsy little steps. Add in a pencil skirt to the equation and you look like you desperately need a wee – maybe I’m just doing it wrong. I used to be aces at walking in heels but I’ve kind of got out of the habit and just stick on flat boots or wedge trainers (which have seen better days) instead. I love you boots, but I’m just going to have to practice.

As a total shoe obsessive, I feel your pain! I dread to think how many pairs of gorgeous shoes I have that are a form of torture when I slip them on my feet. I always explain to my lovely man that most of my shoes ‘aren’t for walking in’ therefore he needs to drive me as close to our destination as possible (and I always keep folding shoes in my bag too!).
These are beautiful so I hope you manage to break them in! x
Ah thanks! Yes, it is a problem. I think it’s more to do with the angle my foot is at once it’s in the boot. They seem quite comfy otherwise! Folding shoes are always good x
I know what you mean! And I am sure our feet become used to wearing flatter shoes for a while too. Keep trying with them! x
